Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman meets Argentine president

  • Vladimir Putin and the Saudi crown prince greet each other like old friends

In related news, President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia had agreed to renew a pact on oil production cuts, amid slumping crude prices on global markets. He then quickly exited the stage without shaking hands or talking with the other leaders.

Saudi Arabia has said the prince had no prior knowledge of the murder.

But he criticised Prince Mohammed, saying that during the summit the Saudi heir apparent gave an "unbelievable explanation" on Khashoggi's killing.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo vowed on Saturday that the United States would continue supporting Saudi Arabia's military campaign in Yemen, despite rising outrage over the kingdom.

The Trump administration's reluctance to acknowledge reports from the justice community stands in contrast to calls for a U.S. response from lawmakers including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who demanded action for Khashoggi's death, which he called "completely abhorrent to everything the United States holds dear and stands for".

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury held apart at weigh
The American teased that depending on how this fight with Fury goes, he may opt another fight with him rather than face Joshua. Fury shouted, calling out the Watford born heavyweight for the fight all Briish boxing fans have been dying to see.

A group of prominent journalists and intellectuals issued an open letter protesting against his visit, saying it was "unethical and politically inappropriate".

"To me, we've got a relationship with a country that's a semi-important country and a semi-important ally".

Prince Mohammed's presence at the worldwide summit has been contentious following the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at a Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October.

The Journal also reported on Friday that in August 2017, MBS had told associates if his efforts to persuade Khashoggi to return to Saudi Arabia were unsuccessful, "we could possibly lure him outside Saudi Arabia and make arrangements".

Jamal Khashoggi went missing after entering the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on October 2.

Apple falls after Trump suggests iPhones could get hit by tariffs
He also said he expects to move ahead with raising tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese imports to 25% from 10% now . As for China, the only "fair deal" would be for it to open the doors to USA competition.

Erdogan said that only one G20 leader - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau - raised the journalist's killing in the full summit.

Earlier this month, the United States imposed its own sanctions on Saudi officials for the same reason.

President Donald Trump, who also has been briefed on the CIA's findings, has been equivocal in assigning blame to the crown prince, who works closely with the president's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner on Middle East issues.

Earlier in November, the Wall Street Journal said that excerpts of the assessment it had not previously reported state that the Central Intelligence Agency has "medium-to-high confidence" that Prince Mohammed "personally targeted" Khashoggi and "probably ordered his death" - but added: "To be clear, we lack direct reporting of the Crown Prince issuing a kill order".

Last week, in a rebuke of Saudi Arabia and the administration's handling of the Khashoggi case, a majority of the Senate voted to advance a measure to end USA military support to Saudi Arabia for its war in Yemen against Iranian-backed militants.
