Deontay Wilder retained his WBC heavyweight crown here on Saturday (Dec 1) after battling to a split decision draw against Britain's Tyson Fury in a pulsating 12-round battle.

Judge Robert Tapper scored the fight 114-110 for Fury, while Alejandro Rochin favoured Wilder 115-111.

Should Wilder lose his title to Fury on December 1, Fury must give Wilder a contractually obligated rematch; however, a rematch may still happen even if Wilder wins.

But a huge straight right from Fury gave the champion something to think about, and was perhaps the Englishman's best punch at that point. Listen, I'm not going to take anything from Wilder, he's a great champion and a great man. The American teased that depending on how this fight with Fury goes, he may opt another fight with him rather than face Joshua.

"The AJ fight is up to them, they have to stop being cowards, we are moving on from him", Wilder said.
