In an interview with Fox News Monday night, Trump didn't mention the executive order, but he said Central American migrants now nearing the United States border were "wasting their time".

The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution passed in 1868, giving citizenship to newly freed slaves after the Civil War.

"You can definitely do it with an act of Congress", he said.

"They're saying I can do it just with an executive order", Mr Trump said.

Apple launches new MacBook Air with Retina Display
Typing isn't the spongy experience it has been on the MacBook Air previously and only you'll know whether you like that or not. It's been so long since the MacBook Air has had an update that pretty much everything has been refreshed in one way or another.

The move, which is said to be against the Constitution, would be the most aggressive measure yet by an American president on immigration. Still, asked about Trump's assertion, Scalise told Fox News in an on-air interview that "the President is exploring the legal options to do this through executive action". "It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous".

CNN points out that Canada and a few dozen other countries also have policies of birthright citizenship.

The critical issue in interpreting the 14th Amendment lies in its exact wording, say some.

Mr. Ryan said it is hypocritical for a Republican president to do what the GOP complained about under President Obama in using executive powers to try to rewrite immigration law.

Khashoggi: Saudi Arabia to try suspects, foreign minister says
Hatice Cengiz, who is Turkish, said she would never have planned to marry the journalist had she known it would lead to his death. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that the Saudi official will meet Turkish prosecutors during his visit.

His comment comes as a massive wave of immigrants from some Latin American countries traverse through Mexico to reach the USA border, where Trump's administration has deployed 5,200 troops to stop the immigrants from entering the country.

"I think the 14th Amendment is clear in enshrining birthright citizenship in the law, and there is interpretive case law from the Supreme Court supporting this", Siskind told Business Insider.

Trump, should he pursue the executive order, would face court challenges, and it remains unclear whether he could prevail.

Pelosi was adamant. "The Democrats will carry the House, if we have a bigger victory, the Senate, governorships", she said. Although changes to the birthright citizenship are in debate every few years, it is for the first time that a United States president has talked about revoking it by an executive order. The order would seek to put an end to the birthright citizenship to the kin of non-citizens born in the US.

The 33-year-old Price, a Cy Young Award victor in 2012, long pitched under an October shadow cast by his regular-season success. Minor league success was nothing new to Palka - he hit 34 home runs over two levels in the Twins system as recently as 2016.

It's unclear whether Graham means he will initiate the process for a constitutional amendment.
