  • All Eyes on Florida's Gubernatorial Race: Will Florida Go Blue?

The race for Florida governor appears headed for a recount, as Democrat Andrew Gillum continues to gain on Republican Ron DeSantis during the tallying of the final uncounted ballots cast in the midterm elections.

A third state-wide race that could go to a recount - the agriculture commissioner race between Democrat Nikki Fried and Republican Matt Caldwell - is the tightest of all, with Fried holding a 483-vote lead - a margin of 0.006 percent.

Gillum initially conceded to DeSantis Tuesday night, but Gillum's campaign team released a statement Thursday saying they "operated with the best information available about the number of outstanding ballots left to count". Rubio said Snipes' failure to count all ballots in a more timely manner violates state law.

Gillum's campaign said it's monitoring the situation with an elections lawyer and preparing for a possible state-mandated recount.

No state can deliver post-election day drama quite like Florida as both the statewide Senate and gubernatorial Democratic candidates push for a recount decision as early as Saturday.

Nelson's campaign has hired Marc Elias, a Democratic lawyer who regularly works issues of voter's rights and election protection. Meanwhile, Senate candidate Scott filed a lawsuit demanding that the Broward County supervisor of elections be ordered to turn over several records detailing the counting and collection of ballots cast. The Sun-Sentinel reported that Broward Democratic Party chairwoman Cynthia Busch stated the Florida Democratic Party obtained on Wednesday the names of those who cast provisional ballots.

He added that the broken sensor from the Bali-Jakarta flight would be sent to the manufacturer in Chicago for further examination. Audio recorded in the cockpit of each flight showed that the pilots were confused by conflicting instrument reports .

DeSantis said one area where he might unite Floridians will be behind an effort to address the problems of toxic algae and red tide and on moving forward with plans to restore the Florida Everglades.

They hope votes from these areas, once they are recounted, will allow Mr Nelson to leapfrog his Republican rival. "Mayor Gillum started his campaign for the people, and we are committed to ensuring every single vote in Florida is counted".

"Every Floridian should be concerned there may be rampant fraud in Palm Beach and Broward counties", Scott said. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., Florida governor and Republican senatorial candidate Rick Scott. "And the supervisors - Brenda Snipes and Susan Bucher - can not seem to say how many ballots still exist and where these ballots came from or where they have been".

On Thursday evening, President Donald Trump weighed in with a tweet on the Senate race, citing the possibility of election fraud.

The Governor's race, US Senate, Commissioner of Agriculture, a state senate seat and two state house races all fall within the half percent margin.

The state's elections unexpectedly devolved into calamity Thursday thanks largely to thousands of votes belatedly trickling out of heavily Democratic South Florida. "We'll never know all that they did".

Delhi's air quality improves to 'severe'
Malad and Mazgaon recorded "poor" AQI, and the remaining locations in the city recorded "moderate" air quality . On Monday, the AQI was recorded at 434 which falls in the "severe" category and was the highest of the season.

While that might appear to augur well for Nelson's chances, there's no guarantee how many, if any, of those ballots will actually turn into votes, even if the voters who cast them meant to vote for Nelson, said Ned Foley an Ohio State law professor and author of "Ballot Battles: The History of Disputed Elections in the United States".

Florida was mocked for its handling of the infamous 2000 recount. Bill Nelson, 50.1 percent to 49.9 percent, a margin of 0.2 percent, or 17,760 votes.

"I'd like to say it, but not really".

Recounts usually don't shift enough votes to change the apparent victor.

Chaos erupted outside at the Broward Supervisor of Elections office in Lauderhill when an impromptu protest appeared ahead of Friday's canvassing board review of 200 provisional ballots.
