Apple's Mac and iPad launch event in NY is still over 24 hours away - it kicks off tomorrow at 2pm United Kingdom time - but we already have a good idea about what the Cupertino giant will unveil. CNET will have a group of veteran Apple watchers live blogging on the scene backed up by dozens more around the world. Rumours further suggest that Apple will ditch the home button or Touch ID sensor for the new iPad Pros and will instead come with swiping gesture for navigation. A similar effect occurred with the iPhone X glyph found previous year, ' the site wrote.

The iPad's external look will be redesigned as well. While all these are mere speculations for now, the latest piece of information confirming the new iPad design comes directly from Apple as a part of the latest iOS 12 update.

However, more life out of the battery would always be welcome and, hopefully, Apple will be able to bring some added energy in this new update.

Angela Merkel won't seek re-election as CDU party leader - German media
That result would allow the current state government of the CDU and Greens to continue, albeit with a thinner majority. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, secretary general of the CDU, is seen October 21 in Berlin during the election campaign.

According to tech blogger Sonny Dickson, the AirPower charging mat suffered from overheating issues which, among other complications, reduced charging speeds as devices get too hot. But according to Ming-Chi Kuo, next week might see the arrival of the iPad Mini 5, featuring an upgraded processor, but a lower cost LCD panel used for the display which could help reduce its price tag.

As a comparison, the current 2nd iPad Pro runs on an Apple A10X Fusion hexa-core chip with 4GB of RAM.

The iPad Pro is the best tablet you can buy right now but it's also very expensive. In some ways it's freakish that Apple hasn't thought to upgrade it in so long, but there's not much that needs changing in the way of the design - it's the internals that are going to get a bump if an upgrade is coming. The good news is that the iPad Pro (2018), which is expected to come in big screen sizes-10.5-inch and 12.9-inch, will not have the notch. The Mac Mini is expected to either be dropped from sale or updated with new chips similar to the MacBook Air.

Pistons improve to 4-0 with win over Cavaliers
Kyle Kuzma scored 22 points and JaVale McGee added 21 to complement James' 74th career triple-double, his first with his new team. Cleveland ultimately dropped the game by the scored of 102-86 and has been outscored by a combined 58 points in four games.

These were big improvements and helped make this device much more useful and user-friendly.

We have a feeling Apple will never allow a version of macOS to run on the iPad but this would be the icing on the cake and make this the ultimate portable machine.

Suffice it to say, Apple's October event may have just gotten even more exciting for Apple fans, especially those who felt left out last month. Apple will be holding the event at Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House, New York, US.
