  • Trump tweets rejection of Puerto Rico’s death toll from Hurricane Maria

President Donald Trump told reporters Tuesday that the administration's response to Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria a year ago was "an incredible, unsung success".

As he braces for Hurricane Florence, President Donald Trump is stoking new outrage over his refusal to accept any blame for the relief effort following Puerto Rico's monster storm previous year.

"As time went by it did not go up by much", Trump wrote.

Santana's images appear to have been taken by drone, and he accompanied them saying, "Although you do not believe it ... nearly a million boxes of water that were never delivered to the people of PR, before the emergency of Hurricane Maria".

Florence Strengthens To Become A Hurricane
Across the Southeast, people were urged to put together emergency supply kits, prepare their homes and research evacuation routes. Meanwhile, the two other tropical storms in the Atlantic - Florence and Helen - are expected to become hurricanes today.

The number included deaths that were both directly and indirectly attributed to the storm between September 2017 and February of this year.

There is no indication Trump raised "billions" to help rebuild the island and the government's Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema) has said its response was strained after responding to two other major hurricanes weeks before Maria. They did not die of old age, they died of neglect.

The president, asked what lessons could be learned from Puerto Rico, called the response to that devastating storm an "unsung success". The historical relationship between Puerto Rico and Washington is unfair and unAmerican.

As Hurricane Florence bears down on the mid-Atlantic, the President boldly declares that the country is "ready for it".

One video captured the "I Like It" rapper screaming, "Bitch come here!" to her rival. "My money is very f***ing long". Nicki opened up about the altercation with Cardi on Friday and said she's mostly embarrassed by what went down.

The president also released a video telling residents in affected areas: "Get out of its way, don't play games with it - it's a big one, may be as big as they've seen". And it is also true that 3,000 US citizens did not die "in" the hurricane - in the sense of being killed by storm surge or high winds. The book is filled with interviews with people who, while believing Trump is unfit for office, still work for him and claim that they are able to manage him.

Long, the FEMA chief, held a conference call for reporters on Thursday morning to describe the Trump administration's efforts to prepare for Hurricane Florence. "I think in a certain way the best job we did was Puerto Rico but nobody would understand that, I mean it's harder to understand".

In mid-August, the island dramatically upped that number to 1,400 people, saying the additional deaths resulted from the effects of a storm that led to a "cascading failures" in infrastructure across the island of 3.3 million people.
