Google has stated its Inbox app has been put on a life support at the moment, with March 2019 as the tentative window when the app will finally be pushed into oblivion.
Google plans to shut down its Inbox email app as it refocuses on Gmail as its most in vogue email client. New Gmail has tabs and tags to categorize specific messages, but it doesn't have the intelligence of Inbox to travel.
For customers, making a move from Inbox to the original Gmail application will not be a hard job. Most of the features of Inbox have moved to the regular Gmail while it seems that the rest will be gone forever.

Rovell tweeted Tuesday that the National Football League did not respond to a request for comment on Nike's decision. He has an ongoing greivance filed against the NFL's owners for colluding against signing him to a contract.
If that indeed is the case, there might soon be another overhaul of Gmail so that the other desirable features of Inbox are added to the former.
Because of this, and to maintain a "more focused approach", Google will shutter Inbox by Gmail and focus entirely on Gmail.
This news came shortly after the revelation that Google is removing its Inbox Gmail App, which it used to test new features for early adopters of its products. Gmail now has the same Smart Reply feature that is able to provide contextual suggestions based on the email received. However, those who have been using it for the last two years will undoubtedly be disappointed by the news.
Many of these features have now been rolled out onto the standard Gmail app, examples of which include snooze buttons, "nudges" and smart reply.
Users of Inbox have until March to begin switching back to Gmail instead - Google has provided a handy transition guide to aid this process.
Google launched Inbox in 2014 as an experiment to try and change the way email was supposed to be used. The app was mostly focused on improving the user's productivity and it has attracted many users within a short timeframe. "See you there", says the blog post.
