YouTube cuts off Logan Paul's advertising revenue over 'pattern of behaviour'

"After careful consideration, we have chose to temporarily suspend ads on Logan Paul's YouTube channels", a YouTube spokesperson told Enstars.

Speaking to Polygon, a YouTube representative stated that Paul's entire channel is "unsuitable for advertisers" and "potentially damaging to the broader creator community".

The drop occurred after he posted a video showing a dead body on a visit to what is known as Japan's "suicide forest". But a few, like the "suicide forest" video, stepped over the line for YouTube. The National Suicide Prevention Hotline was the first recipient of a donation; a representative told ABC News they'd received a quarter million dollars from him. And, at the time, YouTube simply removed Paul's channel from its Google Preferred program, which highlights the top channels on YouTube that are safe for advertisers, and said it was looking into ways of preventing videos like that from surfacing on the site.

Indian army officer killed, 4 soldiers injured in Jammu attack
Afzal Guru was secretly hanged and buried in Delhi's Tihar jail on February 9, 2013 for his role in 2001 parliament attack case. They fired indiscriminately killing a junior officer and injuring three others including his daughter, a jawan and a civilian.

It's unclear how long the ads will be suspended.

Paul's channel, Logan Paul Vlogs, has more than 16 million subscribers.

Offensive and immature creators like Paul, and to a lesser extent YouTuber Felix "Pewdiepie" Kjellberg, are now forcing the company to make tough decisions on what types of content and off-site and on-video behaviors it deems unacceptable. YouTube has always been known as a home for edgy videos filled with pranks and potentially offensive content, made in the name of comedy or freedom of expression. In some of his latest videos, Paul has tasered a rat, suggested that swallowing Tide Pods is a good idea, and attempted to monetize videos which clearly broke YouTube's advertising friendly guidelines. Paul exclaims in the video before electrifying the lifeless animal. However, YouTube has been relatively hands off over the years as it's ballooned into one of the largest media destinations on the internet, largely in part thanks to the symbiotic relationship it has with creators, who share in YouTube's ad revenues. He made $12.5 million past year, accoriding to Forbes.

Pique fit to start for Barcelona against Valencia
Colombian defender Yerry Mina made his Barcelona debut on Thursday by replacing Gerard Pique late in the match. Barcelona are the only side to have ever reached five consecutive finals of the Copa del Rey cup.

According to YouTube, they believe that Paul's brand has become toxic to potential partners and his actions have made the YouTube creator's community vulnerable.

In a way, some could see it as competing YouTubers championing to have someone's livelihood taken away in order to prevent them from competing at their highest level for views.
